About the Coach
Lizzy Kemp Salvato
Walking is my passion! I was first introduced to racewalking in 1981 and fell in love
with the sport. I discovered that with a little training, my legs could carry me fast
and far. I earned a spot on the National Racewalking Team and qualified for the 1992
Olympic Trials 10K Walk in New Orleans. My quest to learn more resulted in a Masterís
Degree in Exercise Physiology from San Diego State University.
I have worked professionally in various hospital settings including Cardiac Rehabilitation, Weight
Management and Corporate Fitness. While my two children were babies I taught prenatal
and postnatal fitness. As a walking coach with Team In Training for six years, I have
shared proper walking form and marathon training with thousands of walkers. Walking is
great because anyone can do it, old or young, fit or sedentary. Itís fun, itís easy
and it works! I can help you ďwinĒ at your health, fitness and athletic goals too!
